President Steve Potter was born and raised in Sonoma County and began his career in law enforcement in early 2000. He has had the opportunity to work in multiple areas throughout the North Bay Area. After retiring in 2020 as a police sergeant, he now serves as the Director for the Basic Police Academy at the Public Safety Training Center in Windsor. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Management and a Master of Arts Degree in Crisis and Trauma Response Counseling from Liberty University. Steve and his wife Tanya have long had a desire for public service and both serve in various community and church volunteer roles, and are active as Sonoma County Emergency Foster Care Parents.

Vice President Justin Wax graduated from Sonoma State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Shortly after his time at SSU, Justin joined the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety as a Public Safety Officer. Justin has held different positions in both the Fire and Police Divisions at RPDPS, such as Detective, Peer Support Team Sergeant, and Detective Sergeant. Justin looks forward to carrying over his passion for providing his community with caring and compassionate service to his role on the Board of Directors. 

Treasurer Erika Wong brings over 15 years of expertise in payroll and human resources to the Law Enforcement Chaplaincy board, with a specialization in financial management and policy development. Her adeptness in Microsoft Office and her commitment to organizational excellence have been instrumental in streamlining operations and enhancing productivity. Erika's dedication to community service is evident through her volunteer work, where she applies her administrative skills to support nonprofit organizations. Her background offers a unique blend of fiscal responsibility and strategic planning, enriching the board's diversity of skills and perspectives. For years, Erika has served as an incident commander at Tour de Fuzz, the organization’s primary funding source. Erika’s passion for public service and her professional acumen make her an invaluable asset to the Chaplaincy's mission.

Executive Secretary Shaun Ralston is a marketing, communications, and artificial intelligence (AI) professional with 25 years of experience at Sutter Health, one of the nation’s leading not-for-profit networks of community-based hospitals and healthcare providers. As an avid road cyclist and social networking expert, Shaun has contributed his talents to organizing the Law Enforcement Chaplaincy’s Tour de Fuzz event, the primary funding source for this organization. By appointment from former Mayor and Police Lieutenant Ernesto Olivares, Shaun also serves his cycling passion on the Santa Rosa City Council Bicycle & Pedestrian Board. Shaun loves teaching Sunday School youth classes at his church, for the past 15 years, and admires all of those performing compassionate work, particularly Chaplains.

Director Lauri McFadden has served in Emergency Medical Services for more than 20 years. Her innovations include establishing the first bariatric ambulance in the San Francisco Bay Area improving safety for those patients and caregivers, as well as founding Save Lives Sonoma, a program that placed automatic external defibrillators in nearly every school in Sonoma County and trained seventh graders in CPR. During the program’s first year, two students used their training to save the lives of a mother and a father. As Operations Manager for Sonoma Life Support, Lauri was introduced to the Law Enforcement Chaplaincy Services, where she was later selected to serve. In this role, she supported families through grief, allowing officers to conduct their investigations, knowing the families were receiving compassionate care. Outside of work, Lauri’s three grown daughters and their families often join Lauri and her husband for almost anything involving healthy competition from pickleball matches to board games. 

Director KT McNulty was born and raised in Northern Sonoma County and hopes to be a lifer in the community that she loves. KT joined the public safety community as a 911 Fire and EMS dispatcher in 2002 with REDCOM/American Medical Response. Throughout her career, she has contributed to her organization’s success and has led REDCOM to becoming an industry leader in Fire and EMS communications. In 2019 KT was awarded the International Academy of Emergency Dispatch’s, Dispatcher of the year for her lifesaving outside of the box efforts during the 2017 fire storm. Her ad-hoc instructions that she provided to imperiled 911 callers that night are now in IAED protocol worldwide and will go on to save even more lives. KT may have started as a dispatcher, but she has been climbing up the ranks. She is currently embarking on a new journey as Regional Director for AMR and now has ambulance services under her wing. Off Duty, KT is typically traveling to all edges of our county rescuing sick, injured and orphaned wildlife as part of the Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue Team. KT has also been volunteering at Tour De Fuzz for the last 7 years as “Dispatch” and plans to continue!
